During a daily walk some weeks after my area received Stay At Home Orders, I looked up to see a large cut vine swinging high above my head. “That’s exactly how I feel” popped into my thoughts. As though I, & everyone, had become unmoored from our normal everyday connections during our new Stay At Home existence. These invasive, non-native species that volunteers cut back, in an attempt to beat back their smothering effects on the woodland, are a daily sight on my walks. Suddenly they mirrored life in many ways.
